How PAC and PAM Solved a Textile Factory’s Wastewater Challenge

When the customer first contacted us, their wastewater contained large amounts of suspended solids, dyes, and organic impurities. The existing treatment chemicals were not producing stable settling performance, especially during peak production periods.

After reviewing the water conditions, we recommended a combined treatment method using:

  • PAC as the primary coagulant
  • PAM as the flocculant aid

How the Application Worked

First, PAC was added into the wastewater tank.
PAC quickly neutralized the negative charges of suspended particles and formed small micro-flocs.

Then, a diluted PAM solution was added slowly while stirring.
The long molecular chains of PAM bridged the small particles together, creating larger and heavier flocs that settled rapidly.

Within a short time, the wastewater became visibly clearer.
